Self-adhesive Back Printing

Self-adhesive back printing refers to printing pictures and texts with ink or paint on the adhesive surface of self-adhesive materials by printing methods. Generally, back printing has the following two purposes.
①Printing on the back. Print a small amount of text or patterns on the surface of the adhesive to achieve the purpose of double-sided labels. The label is used on the transparent bottle body or glass filled with transparent liquid, and the text description on the label can be clearly seen by entering the clear bottle body or glass, which plays the role of dual use of the front and back of the label. It not only saves label materials and costs, but also makes the goods have special decoration effects. Due to the particularity of the label structure, the label printed on the back has a certain anti-counterfeiting effect. Figures 5-7 (color picture 2) are "Johnson & Johnson" company's children's bath liquid packaging, the label on the bottle body uses a double-sided visual label printed on the back. Figures 5-8 (color picture 3) and 5-9 (color picture 4) are the appearance of the label printed on the back and the label after it has been opened.
②The backside is covered with adhesive. Some labels do not need to be fully coated with adhesive on the back, but only partially coated. If there are reattachable and removable sealing labels, there is no need for glue on the contact part of the fingers; for some labels with back-cuts, in order to facilitate the removal of the backing paper, glue is not required. In order to meet the above needs, the printing factory uses the printing method to print ink on the position where the adhesive is required to be removed, to cover the adhesive so that it does not stick to the hand, and achieves the same effect as the local coating process during the manufacture of raw materials.
Back printing is suitable for labels that require small batches and do not require high precision. Such as mass production, it should be fundamentally solved from the manufacture of raw materials, such as backside graphic printing, the backside of the fabric can be pre-printed, and then manufactured into label materials. The back cover label can be made of special material by partially leaking glue during material manufacturing, and the label can be processed with special material, which can improve the quality and production efficiency of the label. Figure 5-10 (color picture 5) is a label for a foreign seal, and Figure 5-11 (color picture 6) is a back view with the backing paper uncovered. The yellow part in the back view is the masking ink or other medium printed on to prevent the label from sticking to the commodity bag after application. The product can be sealed after the label is applied, and the label can be easily removed when removing the product.
